Subject: Alternative tango?

I have a couple of friends here who are part of the Gay/Lesbian
community. They are interested in bringing tango to this community, as
they did with country 2-step when that was popular, and swing when that
was "in". They usually dance in their own "gay-friendly" places.

Does anyone know of any similar communities? Anyone have any suggestions
or ideas to help them make this successful?

Lois from Mpls.

Yes Lois. It is a growing and well respected community in Europe. They
have public dance events, and invite Argentine teachers to have workshops
there.

Look up El Corte in the Netherlands, not that they are such a group, but
they are very open minded and have a wide range of members who will lead you
to the core "interest groups".

Get on El Corte's Yahoo group, and post a message there. People there are
very pleasant and helpful, a very precious and refreshing experience. Bar
none.

Bibi
