Daily News

In Mitchell Fink's column in The New York Daily News today (July 25,01)
while writing about the premiere of a Francis Ford Coppola movie "Apocalypse
Now Redux" he notes the presence of Robert Duvall at the event.

"Coppola was joined at the premiere by various original cast members
including Robert Duvall"

The columnist quotes Duvall as saying,"(Coppola) is producing a film I wrote
and directed," referring to "Assassination Tango," which he filmed in
Argentina. He's helped finance and produce it. We don't collaborate so much,
but every now and then we see each other."

There are no other references to the Duvall movie in the column.

Personally I loved the movie because it brought back so many good memories
of tango for me, when I was first learning, the scene at the milongas and
how great it is to sit with friends and chat, the whole lunfardo thing, the
music, the feeling of doing something somehow a bit rebellious, but at the
same time, intensely personal. I applaud Duvall for making the movie and
would love to give him a big hug and kiss to thank him.
