Subject: Diego De Falco - Carolina Zokolski,
and the New York Buenos Aires Connection

With much affection and admiration, Tango Cleveland, and the people of
Cleveland want to thank Diego De Falco - Carolina Zokolski, and New York
Buenos Aires Connection for providing Cleveland with a wonderful weekend of
music and tango instruction. Their personalities and skill as individuals,
and professionals in dancing and music performance, paved a path of tango
ecstasy for everyone present.
The New York Buenos Aires Connection, consisting of Pablo Aslan (bass) Raul
Jaurena (bandoneon), Leonardo Suarez Paz (violin), and Dario Eskenazi (piano).
I would like to quote Ms. Wilma Salisbury, of the Cleveland Plan Dealer as
writing. "the performance got so intense that the music sounded like a
volcano on the verge of erupting. By holding the emotional power of tango in
tight check, the players electrified the performance and kept listeners on
the edges of their seats."
Ms. Salisbury also writes about Diego and Carolina. "Fortunately, the music
fell into place by the third number, when dancers Diego de Falco and Carolina
Zokalski took the stage. Former Broadway stars of "Forever Tango," they
radiated a sultry mystique. She looked sexy in a red satin dress, slit to the
upper thigh. He personified macho elegance in a gangster suit and slick black
hair. Moving together as one, the dancers seemed to be invisibly joined at
the forehead, wrist and ankle as they executed smooth turns and sharp kicks
to the accompaniment of the ensemble's percussive accents and syncopated
rhythms.
The sophisticated couple returned for three more short dances in the course
of the two hour concert. Each time, they wore different costumes and showed
more intricate moves. In one fast-paced sequence, Diego did raped little
steps performed like an unconventional balletic bourree with crossed ankles.
In another, the couple swiftly kicked their feet between each other's legs
like slashing daggers. At the end of each number, they landed on a dime in a
dramatic pose.
Members of the capacity crowd wanted to see more dancing. But the show was
conceived as a concert, and the musicians got progressively freer and more
creative as the exciting performance proceeded."
At Belinda's, Diego and Carolina's performance at the Saturday night milonga
WOWed everyone who can. People from other cities like, Detroit, Pittsburgh,
Columbus, and Erie Pa. Their tango workshop was intense and very challenging.
We have already asked them back for next year.
Thank you everyone
Timmy
