Subject: Ann Arbor Trip

I have to tell you about my trip to Ann Arbor. It was their May Madness, and a glass-buying jaunt through Chicago and on to Ann Arbor =
for the weekend-12 hour drive for me and my friend, Janis. Whew! What an experience. My first all night milonga, one that I actually wanted =
to stay all night.

It all began Fri night at the U of Mich campus with a formal milonga. We walked in with our wonderful home host, David Alonso, a thrill in its =
self being escorted by such a gentleman... but who should appear out of nowhere, even before we could buckle our shoes, but the infamous Ramu.

Now I knew Ramu Pyreddy from this list about his DJ-ing, but he asked me to dance. And Dance we did! It was wonderful. I couldn't believe the =
high level of dancing from what I thought was a relative new community. They were all good dancers.

I believe they have some great local teachers that are really dedicated, and when special instructors are brought in they all work together to =
make it an assured success.

Invited for the weekend was Homer Ladas and Charity Lebron. I had no clue who they were, but when I saw Homer, it was, ah HA! You're the one =
with the cap turned around in the orange tennis shoes I zoomed in on at Portland Octoberfest years back...I turned to Janis and said, This is =
going to be a great weekend. And it was, the energy those kids have...is contagious.

All that energy, coupled with Robin Thomas' music, was off the page and out the window! It was late or early Sun morning about 6AM when Robin =
explained, there is no music I can play they won't dance to. To Robin's credit, he had them dancing so whole-heartedly they literately tangoed =
to anything he threw out, not wanting to stop.

I have to stop, I'm off to another tango adventure, my 1:00 weekly tango class at the Missouri Treatment Center for young men. A "captive" =
audience...they need social skills so they won't get into trouble again, right?
