Can anyone give me some information on the following
contemporary tango groups:

Cuarteto Cedron, Saul Cosentino, Cuarteto Almagro,
Taies Trio/Adrian Taies, El Berretin, Eduardo Rovira,
Miguel de Caro, El Terceto. I've only heard the
Cuarteto Almagro, who sound great.

count me in too. i'm still working on getting a play list from Andrew Burt, the DJ at our Wed. night mixed-music milonga here in Portland. Almost all contemporary music is played, tango & alternative/non-tango music. following is about 75 minutes or so of music i listen to almost every day. i've danced to most of it as well. i'm pretty sure the DeAngelis & DeSarli is from the 50's? i really love all these tracks, a lot. they are so beautiful.

Keeping in mind that a dj must respond to the expectations of the dancers,
some of my favortie "contemporary" recordings for dancing are listed
below. As a dj, I might use a few tandas from this music on a given
night. I might not use any.
