Subject: I need Tangos

Hello all listers:
I am a musician with a traditional jazz band. We have added a couple of Tangos to our repertoire and they are tremendously popular with our =
listeners/dancers, however, I have not been successful in finding many more songs which are suitable for the band to play.

With the help of any of you who can, I am hoping to gather a list of songs - composers, albums (resources in general) in which I can find =
more appropriate tunes we could do.

An example of what I am talking about is, that the band does a great job on "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps", and this tune is perfect for the dances =
we play - and also works beautifully in concerts and at Jazz Festivals. We also need tunes with English Lyrics.

Any help anyone can give, please respond off list to: grant@grantsimpson.net and I will be truly grateful.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and I look forward in learning more from the list about the Tango in general.

Sincerely,
Grant Simpson

For tango sheet music, Todo Tango <https://www.todotango.com/> is a good
online source. As for tangos with English lyrics, that will be a bit more
difficult. There are translations of many lyrics on the Tango Lyrics Home
Page <https://argentina.informatik.uni-muenchen.de/tangos/>, but these
translations are not generally fit to the the music.

With best regards,
Steve

Hard to determine what you're looking for - "Perhaps" is a rhumba.
"Harlem Nocturne" can be used as an Argentine tango.
