With all due respect for his knowledge of tango, from personal experience, the less said about Alberto, the better.

Good evening

I would like to trace an old posting to
the Tango List that listed with
lots of humor different signs
of addictions to Tango.

This list, as remeembered by Steve Brown, included such entries as

>1) All your clothes are black.
>2) You practice ochos waiting for the elevator, waiting in line, while
> pushing a grocery cart.
>3) You cancel holidays with your family to go to milongas or workshops
>

Does anybody remember this posting or
know of web sites featuring this posting ?

Do you have favorite jokes about Tango.

Several. For example,
<https://users.rcn.com/kells.javanet/tSymptoms.htm>,
<https://www.nytutoring.com/libertango/articles/Junkie.html>,
<https://www.tangopulse.net/you_know_you_re_a_tango_junkie_when____.htm>.

I don't know where the original tango-l article might be, though.

(Anyway, in what way are these jokes?)

Using the word junkie to search the Tango-L archive, I came up with a link
to a list of symptoms of a tango junkie that had been posted to Tango-L in
September 1998
<https://pythia.uoregon.edu/~llynch/Tango-L/1998/msg00268.html>.

A reference to the website <https://users.rcn.com/kells.javanet/tSymptoms.htm> appeared on Tango-L in April 1998. So it would appear the website
predates the Tango-L list.

With best regards,
Steve (de Tejas)

Into reruns... ;-)
