Curious if anyone out there every has Tango socializing/dance parties away from the regular dance venues? Bruce Zick, a very creative free spirit here in Portland, has an annual Tango Island party out at his place in the woods, in the Columbia River Gorge, a 1/2 hour East of Portland. He's created a bunch of Tango moves/steps that no one has really ever seen before, including him. I can reproduce some of them, while I'm dancing, if I keep my eye on him, its something else ;o) He's also got some pants named after him, that Carrie, Alex Kreb's partner makes...if you're curious, have a look:

.
I'm their friends & the Berretin's work-to-tango electrician. They don't know I mentioned this (yet!). I don't have any financial interest in this.
.
Here's the Tango Isle website, if you have precious moments of your life to burn ;o)

.
The drawings I believe, are from MAD magazine, which I collected growing up. Its right up my alley, even at 44... The artists who drew them, were the "Beatles" of their generation.
