A show called Tango Pasion coming in town for one performance. Somehow they
will perform in the "booney land" miles away from Chicago (city), which I
suspect is due to cost of booking performance halls in city of Chicago. It
is ashame that all the historical theatres in city cannot grace their show.

I seem to recall them touring in Asia 2 years ago (or I could be wrong).
Anyone knows the quality of the show? They advertise Sexeto Major will be
playing, Hector Zaraspe is the choreographer.

I have been to some tango shows, there are shows and there are shows.

Tango Pasion is the show of Miguel Angel, and Osvaldo Zotto, I believe. One
of those long burners.
The one that made Milena famous.

Thx Juan, your statement was what I was thinking about, as I am about to go
to the website for the tango group in HK to look up their archive on Tango
Pasion. (They have workshop with the dance members after the show)

I recall running into Color Tango's show many times in the US, Europe and in
Bs As (at least once a month there), but I had to go to special event to
hear Sexeto Major. I missed the chance to see Color Tango and Sexeto Major
collaborating last late Christmas season in Amsterdam, supposed to be
fabulous.

Again comments without knowlodge.
First : Tango Passion is a show that started on Broadway in 92. With no
success they changed all the show and travel all over Europe since then for
more than 10 years. Sexteto Mayor are the musicians.
Second: Miguel and Osvaldo are not in the same show for many years.
Third: Tango X 2 was created by Miguel and Milena. So she has the same
credits as him. And she is not famous because of him. But they are famous
because of each other. Before Milena, Miguel were only one more.
They split and he satyed with the show. Good for him !

Nothing personal but let's try not to say stupid things if we really don't
know.

Junior

Tango Pasion is the show that turned me onto tango. I remember my jaw
hitting the floor numerous as I tried to comprehend what I was seeing. I
regret I didn't buy the video during the intermission.
