Subject: A Tango perspective - especially for Larry Carroll

Hi there everyone, and Larry in particular

Sorry to hear the fire has dimmed a bit on your tango passion mate! Don't
worry too much about it though, I've found that the feelings sometimes
diminish a bit, but then come back in their own good time. And plenty of
friends have experienced the same thing in tango and in other passions. I've
had the same experience with climbing - I haven't done it for a while due to
other flows in life, but I still love it and the feelings of being in it and
interested in it, even if I'm not doing it all that much lately. I still
think of mtyself as a climber....There is quite a good wee quote that I
think applies pretty well:

"Mountains make good friends, they will wait patiently for you no matter how
long you are away". The same applies to tango I reckon.

I guess that we all live pretty busy and full lives doing all sorts of
things, at that tango may be just one of the threads that we weave into the
tapestry of an interesting life! I thought you and others in the list might
be interested in a recent prize-winning book that has just come out in New
Zealand - 'Here at the End of the World We Learn to Dance'. It's by a guy
who discovered tango and has some pretty cool insights about it that might
be a bit refreshing - he uses tango to explore love....have a look at the
link below and see if it appeals. Hope so,

Cheers, Gordon Cessford
