Subject: Discussion of the US led war on Iraq

I personally welcomed Wolfgang's and Annette's e:mail.
Of course they are Europeans,so are able to look at
life in general ,in a more open way than the average
American. Tango is,after all,about emotion,and the
expression thereof. Unfortunately Wolfgang and Annette
can not dance with us all, thereby giving them the
chance to transmit their feelings,(which
must, naturally ,include feelings of distaste, anger or
hate),through their dance.Q.E.D.:they must express it
in print,to let all of us know how they feel. Those of
us who are not interested in what they write, can very
simply either not read it,or ignore it.Nobody told me
when I signed onto Tango-L that I HAD to read EVERY
e:mail,or in so doing ,that I had to like or agree
with what I read. And what on earth has education to do
with expressing one's feelings...it seems to me that a
lot of poorly educated Argentinians wrote the lyrics
and music to many of the tangos YOU love to dance
to!And some poorly educated Argentinians invented and
danced the tango LONG before YOU were born. And as far
as WAR is concerned, why not listen to the tango "El
Soldado"...on one of the Florindo Sassone CDs by
Bandoneon ,if I recall correctly? Maybe you could
force youself to dance to it!
To Wolfgang and Annette : Gracie per tutto! / Vielen dank!
