Subject: Finding a mate through dancing

I know there are a lot of people out there who feel the sole reason for
dancing is to meet a man or a woman. The problem with that is that, as a
woman, I can see so clearly what a man's dance motives are, and there is
nothing that interests me less than a man who is dancing just to meet
women. I guess that is one of the "catch 22's" of dancing - the more you
want to meet a woman through dancing the less likely that it is.

It's kind of like that with tango - the more we run after it, chase it,
work for it, spend money on it, the more elusive it becomes. But if we
just relax, have fun, appreciate it and enjoy it, tango comes to you.

Hi Lois,
Regarding people single-mindly seeking a mate through dancing...that kind of intention might work for finding a job or something, but generally not for attracting a romantic partner. I've seen folks hook up with someone, via dancing/lessons & then dropout altogether. hmm... they turn up again, after it heads south..hmmm... I love dancing & would miss it terribly if I did that. A large part of my social life is built around a # of different small dance communities. Now that I have a better idea regarding what relationships are & aren't, I sure in the heck ain't in any hurry to "create" one, ha! True though, I used to think they were the answer. answer to what ;o) What's the old saw?: the way to attract a soul mate is to become a person with soul...
Take care...
