There is an argentine artist , Guillermo Alio, that does exactly that.
He place a canvas at a floor, then tin cans with painting, and from time
to time dips his feet and the feet of the dancing partner , and produce
the painting with their dancing steps.

Alio has an atelier at Fundacion Popa,Magallanes 859 PB A
Caminito , La Boca, Buenos Aires, Argentina

Agree with who???? Sorry, but I never saw anybody express this??? No,
never, ever look at your feet, especially while learning, whether in
close or open embrace, milonguero, or salon.

but ignore them when you are dancing. In any case, looking at your feet
tends to lower you head. That is heavy, and leads to you losing your own
balance, and to causing your partner to lose theirs.>>>>>>
