Subject: How to dance in provincial areas

Seth asks: "How do they dance the Tango in Mendoza, if I may ask? And in
general in
Argentina's provincial towns?"

Tango in Mendoza and in the other provincial cities is danced the same as in
any other place in the world. Most people dance Salon: close or open
embrace. The other styles are not danced very much. Generally speaking
the ambiance is more "intimate" than in B.A., there is more space to dance,
everyone knows most of the attendants. Both walking to the table to ask for
dances or Cabeceo are fine.

the best milongas in Mendoza are:

Thursdays at 11pm : "La Pua" Talcahuano St. in Guaymallen ( a suburb of
the city). Nice place, there is a stage where people sing; you can have
something to eat and to drink.

Fridays at 11 pm: Plazoleta Vergara (Outdoors)(Aristides Villanueva y
Belgrano) organized by "Taconeando Group".

Later at 1 am: theater "Las sillas" (San Juan 1436).

Sundays 10pm: Plazoleta Pellegrini - Outdoors (San Juan and Alem) and also
at the Sirio-Libanese Club
at 8:00 pm. (Necochea between 25 de Mayo and Chile).

There are tango shows, and all sort of artistic activities: Exhibitions,
theater, movies, etc, and some special holidays such as 'Grape Harvest time'
"La Vendimia" that takes place every year in March.

I forgot to mention Mendoza has one of the best skiing places "Las Len`as".

Best regards, Sergio
