Hi Mark,

First, about Deb Holm, let sleeping dogs lie, is my advice.

I was an early victim yayyy, about a year ago. At that time I though,
mistakenly, that she was 100% sane. Some of her early postings were actually
quite reasonable, even interesting. Then she appears to have hit her head.
This happened to other previously sane subscribers.

Now, I just had this intuition --- as I realized you are a fellow NY
tanguero. Are you the thin guy with a moustache that I chatted with a few
times at Esmeralda's? I had no idea who I was corresponding with.

Next, I ignored the stupid remarks by Robinne Whomever about me. (The
substantive part of the posting is actually fine.) You know what happens if
you wrestle with pigs, and female pigs can be WORSE. You should thank her for
defending you, you are such a vulnerable boy, and maybe we should publish our
private correspondence on the list. It would not top Sarah's shockers, but it
would send "liberated" Robinne running with her skirt over her head.

There is some reason for all of this bickering. Well ... pecking, since I am
in no position to reciprocate, and have no desire to do so. It is a well know
phenomenon in tango. A Portenno is behind it. Portennos cannot live in peace
with the rest of the world, or themselves. They live in this VERY MUCH
STANDARD machista culture, then they look at themselves and find themselves
lacking. So they go around affirming themselves against anybody who they
think might bear out their inadequacies. Since I cannot tell the list this
(known to anybody familiar with the neo-Iberian cultures) I will stick to
tango. Well ... for now.

Best regards,

It has come to my attention, after my first query
to the Tango-L list (thank you, Astrid) that Mark is
Ok, but that he was one of the people in the towers.

I think that the people on the Tango-L list should have
always considered him their "prodigal son" since he
seemed to learn tango from the advice on the list, and
I think that now, after we all spent so much time advising
him of how to do Argentine Tango, we might be a little
bit concerned about his experience in the ill-fated tower.
And that he got out alive.
