Subject: in memory of Norma Greco

Dear List,

8 years ago I met Norma Greco when I first started out in this crazy dance. Norma and I have never lived in the same city, but we managed to cross paths many times all over the globe in search of tango and adventure. She was a friendly, fiesty woman consumed with love for her dance. Some of my favorite memories of her include trading embellishments with her at the Cochabamba practica in Buenos Aires and dancing in her Florida garage-turned-dance studio with the wall rolled up to let nature in on a warm summer night. Whenever she landed in my town she would call and we would meet at a milonga. She knew everyone and was a sought after partner. I was very sad to hear of her illness and her passing. As my friend Lexa said "Norma was the life of the party" it was impossible to think of her as ill.

I also want to remember Alberto Toledano from LA, another dear tango friend, who recently passed away.

You will both live in my heart forever. Your friendship was special and rare. I am thankfull for knowing both of you and all the love you showed me. May you know all the joys of heaven.
