Dear Tango list

I continue my exchange of e mail with Professor Kasuge
and will send to him a CD from the japanese collector Akihito Baba, Todo Vals, that contains early recording from argentine valses by Canaro orchestra of the 304s , to see wether the can use for future refinements of the robot.

He made some explanation about the difficulties to produce movements as required in dance .Follows e mail from Professor Kasuge
Warm regards

Dear Alberto,

Thank you for your email again.
Our system, at this moment, could not move enough fast to
dance other music. The system has only 3-dof and we areplanning
to add more motion degrees of freedom.

Could you please send us the CD?
If it was slow enough, we may use it in the future after we
complete current project.

Best regards,

Kazuhiro Kosuge

Alberto,
I am afraid you will drive that poor professor crazy if you make him try to
program that robot lady to perform a dance as complicated as tango that even
most humans with a much more intricate real brain and body have difficulty
mastering. You leaders will just have to put up with us real women who may
tell you, that it was you alright who lead that weird aborted move , and who
complain if you step on their (very real and existent) feet.
For those of you who feel disappointed now, I recommend trying an inflatable
vinyl doll instead, who floats two inches above the ground, held up by you.
