Hola listeros,

Just wondering if anyone has heard the tango "Dios te salve m'hijo" played in any milonga in BA.

When I first heard it, I loved the music. Like most other songs (not just tango), I did not pay much attention to the lyrics. Until one night recently, that is. The sadness that it stirred up is like watching the scene unfold right in front of me. I don't think I will be able to dance to it if I hear it played in a milonga.

For those who don't know the song or Spanish, the song is about a father lamenting the death of his son in an incident during a rural election.

Yes. But not in BA, and not at a milonga. It's
beautiful.
