Tango after exported to overseas was portrayed as a "holier than holy" art
form. In reality, could it also remain as a "ridiculous game of seduction
and
betrayal" ritual as Stephen described? This contradiction is
self-explanatory even at this forum; just so recently, one minute was about
toilet sex, another minute was about hoity toity feeling.

Bibi, I'm with you. Tango is a many-faceted jewel, and some facets are
dark. Maybe some of it's not for me, not right here, not right now, but I
wouldn't throw out any of it - who am I to say what someone else's next
tango moment should contain?

To quote Ken Wilber, one of my prime sources:

"The integral sage, the nondual sage...known generally as "tantric", these
sages insist on transcending life by living it...finding release by
engagement, finding total liberation by complete immersion...Indeed, the
whole point it to be fully at home in the body and its brilliance, the mind
and its ideas, the spirit and its light. To embrace them fully, evenly,
simultaneously...to inhabit lust and watch it play; to enter ideas and
follow their brilliance; to be swallowed by Spirit and awaken to a glory
that time forgot to name. Body and mind and spirit, all contained, equally
contained, in the ever-present awareness that grounds the entire display."

Sounds like tango to me...
