Subject: Tango Wars

We strongly agree that the Tango-L should not be a forum to discuss the war.
Although this morning on CNN, a top U.S. General said that the war between
U.S. and Iraq was 'like Tango - it takes two". Yep! That's exactly how he
put it.
Anyway, the more important topic for this list is the sneaky underhanded
things that are being done to try and put competing milongas out of
business. SArah la Rocca made a posting not long ago with regard to this and
it is surprising this did not generate more discussion. ESPECIALLY NOW -
during these dangerous times - it is SO UNETHICAL - to bother the police to
go and check out whether or not alcohol is being sold at a milonga or
whether or not the studio in question is paying taxes on admission fees. How
low can you go? And... did it ever occur to the perpetrators in question to
analyse their own milongas? If people have stopped coming to dance at your
event - maybe it's because they aren't having FUN!!! Stop attacking others
and take a good hard look at yourself and your event. One final note: we
know who you are SNITCH. Try something like that again and you will see a
Tango War. We won't use Bush's decapitation technique. No, we'll just cut
off your feet!!
