The list is formed by people from many places, with different culture, with
multiple interests.

The contributions should relate to 'Any aspect of Argentine Tango' . This
could be a very narrow alley or a wider avenue if we include aspects of
Argentine culture that relate to Tango in some way, such as traveling there,
how this experience impacts our lives, etc..

Some contributions are of interest to all of us, some to a few and some to
nobody.

There is no obligation to read all the notes that show up on the screen. You
may choose to delete without reading at any time.

It is like turning the pages of the newspaper in the morning, you go
straight to the ones that interest you and ignore the others.

I find that writing about any topic in this list is like sticking your head
out in a shooting gallery.

Somebody in some way for some unexpected reason is going to complain or
attack you.

Recent examples: Rick's reports from Buenos Aires. He writes about the way
he sees and experiences life there.
We can read or delete. If we read and we disagree with what he writes we can
remain silent or give another opinion.

I try to write about subjects that need to be discussed, such as musicality,
or milonga codes. I do it to help the visitor to have a better time at the
milongas here and there. I know that what I describe is totally accurate
because I was born and grew up in Buenos Aires.

I strive to be compassionate, understanding, tolerant, patient ( I know I
have failed here), but when you have to deal with the psychopaths and the
mentally ill that out of envy, frustration or inferiority complex hate
Argentinean males, or the women's liberators that feel threatened each time
one discusses anything relating to feminine and masculine roles in tango, or
the ones that oppose anything it does not matter what. When you have to deal
with the likes of Steve Hoffman, Carlos Lima or Joaquin Concha (whatever his
real name might be) it is difficult to remain calm, contemplative,
understanding and compassionate. You actually feel like quitting, as many
valuable contributors have already done; you can concentrate in your own
web page or other activities much more rewarding.

What I am trying to say is that if we continue to attack anyone who makes
this list interesting then we will have the boring one that we deserve.
Boring! Boring! Boring! Have you seen the movie " My fat, big, Greek
wedding"? or "Mr. Schmit" (I ignore if that is the name as I saw it in
Argentina with a different name - Jack Nicholson's movie-) then you know
what I mean. Boring! Boring, empty, very empty life.
We are into tango because we are not like that or we strive not to be like
that. Are we not? So we should be grateful to those that write rather than
attack them. Or not? I am most interested in hearing your opinion.

Have an interesting day.
