Subject: FOR ALL MEMBERS - Short course how to unsubscribe from Tango-L in case you ever need it

Please keep a note of the following in case you'd need to _unsubscribe_ from
Tango-L in the future. Ever. (hope not):

1) DO NOT SEND "UNSUBSCRIBE" IN THE SUBJECT LINE to the address
TANGO-L@MITVMA.MIT.EDU, it won't help you unsubscribe and will anger the
more IT-oriented members of the list quite a bit. It will also annoy the
others pretty much.

2) Send e-mail to LISTSERV@MITVMA.MIT.EDU with "unsubscribe TANGO-L" in the
messeage BODY (not the subject!)

3) Read https://pythia.uoregon.edu/~llynch/Tango-L/tango-l.html for commands
and possible changes in the instuctions above

The software powering this list is over 20 years old. At that time computers
were mostly used by people who actually knew how those computers worked.
Especially the type of computer and network this piece of software run on.
So before you do or ask anything, read the manual.

I hope this clears out any misconcepts for a while.
