I totally agree with Steve, there are people that become very uncomfortable
and defensive when certain subjects are discussed.
They generally react in an aggressive way and try to silence the discussion
arguing that that particular subject does not matter.
This is equivalent to a form of censorship.

The correct reaction (IMO) is to present your opinion in proper form or to
read and remain silent or to delete without reading if the subject does not
interest you...but do not come with stories such as 'what really matters' is
connection, respect, feeling...etc. things that are correct but totally
irrelevant with respect to the subject in discussion.

This became very obvious during our recent treatment of 'Tango Styles'.
Those that teach only one or another style tried to discourage the
discussion as irrelevant because they were afraid their student were going
to stampede out of their studios looking for a more interesting form of
tango dancing. :)) The discussion took place any ways with good results
after several failing attempts on my part.
I have noticed that people now announce their workshops mentioning what
style is going to be danced (thank you, for a little progress).

As to ..."getting out of

> bed with one person and hopping into bed with another
> while you're still wet. (Just a bit.)"

There are cultures where to talk about sex or body functions, or the use of
certain words make people very uncomfortable such as in the USA.

There are other cultures where conversation on those subjects is socially
acceptable and discussion is done routinarily in proper form.

This was obvious recently when Antonio Cervila Jr. attempted to discuss
sex , psychoanalysis and tango. He was not only misunderstood but also
ridiculed and attacked. I personally think that sex, gender role,
psychoanalysis and tango could be extremely interesting subjects.
This probably explains the disparity of opinion between Luda and Astrid as
well.

Vive la difference!
