Heyo friends,

I'm logging off of tango-l for a while. I'm too busy and therefore not
tolerating very well the current negative energy, which seems to come and go
in cycles. If something scholarly or of historical note is posted, I'd love
hearing from you as you forward it. ... write for any reason and savor the
emotions in your lives ...

 Dear Frank,

Hi, howya been? Getting a lot of good tangos lately?

Just writing to let you know I'd be delighted to be
your unpaid personal secretary and wade through all the
excrement in the tango-l sewer in order to ferret out the
occasional nugget to forward on to you so you can get all
the good stuff without having to deal with the garbage.
I can fully understand why you might not want to do this
yourself, and how you might consider your time far more
valuable than mine.

While I'm at it, are there any other mailing lists on
the internet that you'd like me to sift through for you?

I remain, your faithful servant,

Huck

PS I really like reading your postings, bear you no ill
will whatsoever (in fact, quite the contrary), and hope
that you can appreciate the humor in this letter; but
I wrote it because I just have to scratch my head and
wonder sometimes if people realize exactly what they are
implying sometimes. This reminds me of people who come
up to me and say, in effect, "I can't be bothered reading
Tango-L, because, well, I've always preferred talking to
listening anyway, so would you please post something for
me and sign my name to it, thanks!" :)
