Greetings,
For those few of you keeping track, I should be leaving the hospital here in New York in about three weeks. It has been a long three months away from the dance floor. Many thanks to all who sent good wishes. I have found an interesting way to segue back into the tango world as I relearn how to walk. I am doing a half-hour tango show on the hospital radio station. I'm not exactly doing tandas for dancing but it is fun giving a historical perspective to the music and enlightening the patients and staff here. It is a lot of fun learning the ropes in the control room and helps ease the frustration of not being able to dance. I call it "Milonga Porteqa". Unfortunately unless you have a short-wave radio or happen to live within a four mile radius of it's puny transmitter on Roosevelt Island in the East River you won't be able to hear it. But just in case you are driving down the F.D.R. Drive along the East Side of Manhattan or happen to be shopping in Queens, tune in to 88.1 FM. WCG!
H radio on Tuesday mornings at 10
:00 AM :-).
See you soon on the dance floor.
Cheers,
Charles Roques
