I believe on page 246, entry April 12, 2001 she did say, "Forever Tango", unless that too is changed. But it really does not matter to me as I have seen them both (Tango Argentino and Forever Tango), twice in fact. But to be fair, I have to say that whether you were La Griega, La Americana, La Koreana, La China, La Negra, La Russa (right sp?) there is NO WAY but a La Argentina could have made it to those shows. An audition without a qualifier was indeed a joke (ie, satire).

"The Book" is also a scathing attack on the male Argentine tango dancer's ego, so beware. Depending on who you are, and where you've been, you might have a different take on it.

So Lucia, don't get me wrong, I love this dance. But for me, it starts and ends there. Believe me, I wouldn't quit my day job for it.

When Forever Tango came to Minnesota, we invited the dancers to an
after-performance party. I was surprised to meet a principle dancer, who was
a professional dancer from Los Angeles. I believe she said her ethnic
background was Eastern European, but it doesn't matter. She had done very
little tango before auditioning for the show.

She was an incredible dancer, and did some of the more athletic moves during
the show.
