I spent 18 DAYS there for a grand (and I mean GRAND) total of about
$2200.00, including two pair of custom dance shoes from Fattomano's, four
pair of street shoes, clothing, t-shirts, all the food, accomodations,
lessons, airfare, milongas, cab fare, trinkets....everything!!! So if you
want to spend a lot of money go ahead! If you don't, do a little bit of
research (duh!!!!), and go for next to nothing!!!

It is possible to go to BsAs on a very modest budget.
Airfare is your biggest expense.
Two-star hotels run about $20US per night.
Youth hostels are $6US per night.
Apartments and rooms are $10-15US per day.
Remise from the airport to your hotel is 50 pesos including tolls and tip.
A metered taxi ride from the airport to downtown is 35 pesos.
An airport shuttle bus to downtown is 12 pesos.
Private tango lessons are $50US or less per hour.
Group classes are 10 pesos.
Milonga admission is 5 pesos in general; women pay 3 pesos at some.
Tango shows with dinner are $50US plus 10% tip.
Shoes are about $50US for women's; slightly higher for men's.
A bus ride within the capital federal is 80 centavos.
Taxi rides depend on the distance.
All-you-can-eat lunch and dinner buffets are 12 pesos.
