Subject: CD Burners
Hello Listeros,
This is slightly off topic, but I recently started DJ-ing and would like some opinion on CD burning software. (I burn CDs as back-up in case my PC or my MP3 player goes kaput :-( ).
If you prefer, replies can be sent to me directly instead of to the list.
I recently tried the CD Burner from Acoustica, and found it to be a very good product. I am very tempted to shell out the US$25 for it. I especially liked the following features:
- Imports *.m3u format (for playlists created using other play back programs)
- Burns audio CD with readable track titles (I don't have to look at "NO TITLE" in my car again.)
- Intelligent track volume boosting (Both burning and ripping) to bring songs to the same volume
- Rips to OGG format in addition to WAV, WMA and MP3. (Although I do not plan on using this.)
One feature not included is printing of jewell case labels. Acoustica has another product for doing that. (Cost: $22)
Has anyone on the list tried/bought this product? What is your evaluation of this product? Are there other products that you would recommand?
