A while ago Frank Williams wrote:

The question begs to be asked: Do you always let clowns decide what you do
with your life?

And more:
"EXPLETIVES!!!! Half of the places I go to dance - I can't stand to watch
the floor! I literally avert my eyes so that the moods of the music are not
replaced by images of rubber noses and floppy red and yellow shoes.
True!!!"

Perhaps this simple technique would help. When I dance I very rarely if ever
pay attention to other couples on the floor. I do pay quite a bit of
attention to my partner and to collision prevention.
