Hi list,

I just got to BA yesterday with the intention of living here for at
least a year. I´m living with a friend of a friend now, but am
starting to look into a permanent place to live. On a whim, I went to
craiglist.org, which has helped me so many times in the US, and found
that they recently added a BA site.

https://buenosaires.craigslist.org

Looks like not too many people are using it yet, but it may be a good
resource for traveling dancers.

Also, I found this ad, which could be a great opportunity for someone
on this list. Here´s the link, and the text of the ad:

Hello. Looking for a student preferably who has studied journalism to
help with a documentary film that will be shot in Buenos Aires this
summer. Duties would include, but are not limited to, helping to set
up and conduct interviews, some research, helping with translation (I
am not fluent in Spanish), and at times acting as a guide. You should
be great at making contacts with people, meaning good at working the
phones and being extremely persistent. Also, you obviously must be
fluent in both Spanish and English. The person who gets this job can
be actively involved with the shooting and production of this film and
would receive some extremely valuable film experience. The film will
be about the first Jewish-Arab tango orchestra, thus preference will
be given to those who have extensive knowledge of either Jewish or
Arabic communities. If interested, please send a description of
yourself, including your education, areas of interest, and why you
would be interested in working with this project. If you have any
questions, please feel free to email.

I´m sure I´ll see many of you down here!

Meredith
