Nobody will hear me fault anyone for having a partnerpreference no matter what his or her standards are. I
say, if you don't want to dance with beginners at your
 favorite milonga, don't!

What a shame it would be to make those people feel
 unwelcome, though.

The only approval a beginner needs at any milonga is
that of the partner he or she wants to dance with.

Well, sometimes the dancing can be so wild that it
will require an admonition from the host to tone it
down. Funny, the first time I witnessed a host do
that, it wasn't even a beginner. It was a movie star!

Subject: ADMIN: You may need to resend postings sent for approval to Jim Lane

 Tango-A and Tango-L members,

If you submitted any postings to Tango-A or Tango-L and are not yet
authorized to send directly to the list, your posting goes to one of a
few moderators for approval. You get a message saying something to the
effect, "Your submission to Tango-A/-L has been sent to moderator Jim
 Lane <jlane@nwlink.com>."

In the last week or so, owing to a peculiar interaction between the
listserver's domain and Jim Lane's, Jim <jlane@nwlink.com> has NOT been
receiving any of these approval requests, and hence been unable to
 approve them.

If you received such a notice on mail you sent to the list in the last
week, and did not either (a) see the posting on the list or (b) get an
e-mail explaining why, please resubmit the article. Sorry for the
inconvenience--we just discovered this recently. Postings are being
routed to other moderators until Jim's e-mail issues are fixed.

(In general, within a day, or at most a few days, of getting a message
like, "Your posting has been submitted to a moderator for approval," you
should either see that posting on the list, or get an explanation as to
why it wasn't. If you don't, forward that message, along with your
 original, to tango-L-request@mitvma.mit.edu for investigation.)

Please direct questions about or responses to this e-mail to
tango-L-request@mitvma.mit.edu (and not to the whole list).

 Thanks,

 Shahrukh Merchant
 Tango-L/-A co-administrator
