Not tango-related, but of interest to Argentinophiles:
The locomotive "Argentina", built in 1949 by Livio Dante Porta to the orders of Juan Peron and thought to have been scrapped long ago, has =
been discovered in an abandoned depot in San Miguel de Tucuman by British engineer Martyn Bane. Here is the story:

Speaking of trains and tango, the following two are tangos with train sounds:
1. "Ya Sale El Tren", M. Calo, 1943
(no.11 from "Yo Soy El Tango" album)
2. "El Espiante", O. Fresedo, 1933
(no.4 from CD 1 of "40 Gr. Exitos" album)
bonus: a tango with bell sounds (but no whistles and not train-related)
3. " Carrillon De La Merced", Orq.Tipica Victor, 1931
(no.18 from "RCA Victor 100 A~nos" album)
Cheers,

well, if you add "Se va el tren" by Rodriguez
and "El rapido" by Piazzolla, you get the perfect Train-Tanda...
