Subject: Bandeon or bandoneon -- and title of tune in video clip?
At https://www.ilovemusic.com/argentine_tango.htm there are couple of video
clips of a bandeon ( bandoneon ) player. The first clip shows a very
romantic selection of Argentine tango music. The second, from the same piece
of music, shows a dramatic, exciting conclusion. I think this illustrates
the wide expressive range of Argentine tango music -- it's unlike anything
you would be likely to hear in a ballroom tango tune.
Does anyone know the title and or composer of the music in the video clip?
The clip is from "Tango for You" -- a performance at the Alcazar Theater in
San Francisco in 1998.
Is it bandeon or bandoneon?

Bandoneon. Or earlier, in europe/germany, not argentina:
Bandonion.
Named after his inventor: "Heinrich Band", from Krefeld, Germany.
Originally intended to be an organ replacement for poor churches.

I have also heard recently that it was designed for accompanying outdoor
religious processional marches - thus the two small rings on the top of the
bellows, to attach a neck/shoulder strap that would support the instrument
while walking in the street in such a parade.
