I posted that one cannot listen to all the CDs offered in the music stores
here in the states. After posting that I went to Barnes and Noble books in Union
Square here in NYC and discovered that they now offer that. Last time I was
there they didn't so I stand corrected and imagine this is a trend in the music
business in general. However Barnes and Noble has a poor selection of tango
CDs so don't bother going just for that.
cheers,
Charles

Zival's offers sound clips for most of their incomparable collection
of tango CDs on their website (https://www.tangostore.com).

Borders also do it, although in the local branch it seems often to be
broken (and rarely happens to have the CD that I want to listen to in
its database). So it is available. I'm not sure it's a trend,
alas---I suspect it's a few stores and chains, especially (I suspect)
those that rely on selling CDs that aren't the heavily promoted top 40
or so.
