Subject: a dancer versus a milonguero/a

Dear friends from Tango list
I read all the postings about sincopation, and the exquisite refinements
that most of the subscribers talk about .
I would like to share this excerpt from a book that I am reading now , it
had been out of the book stores from many time, and just by chance I found a
copy yesterday. The name of the book is " The country of wonders" written by
Mempo Giardinelli , a local writer from the province of Chaco
Warm regards

" But I think that what made me fall in love with tango, was something that
one day told me my brother-in-law ( for me, a second father ):
´ If you dance a tango with the proper woman and you do not finish
trembling, better focus in rumba and bolero. But if you end deeply moved
because you feel that the woman was a part of your body and yours from her ,
then you are done for : you will take for ever with you the tango in your
soul ´.

At those times, I was unable to distinguish the dancer from the milonguero.
As it happens today with many people. The first one is the one that could
make a show : virtuous, capable of remarkable figures for the attendants
that watch him in wonder and envy, he needs to practice a lot with the same
dancing partner; and the ones that are really good - there are many in that
category- end becoming professional.

The milonguero, on the other hand , simply go to the clubs to dance.
Goes to the milonga, to move his soles. Of course , both categories also
applies for the women. "
