The September 2001 issue of the magazine Sports Illustrated for Kids has an
article about the early (pre-college) school experiences of seven
professional athletes.

One of the athletes featured (on page 92) is Peyton Manning, Quarterback for
the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League.

According to the article, while in eighth grade, Peyton starred in a school
musical in a role that included his dancing the tango.

His dad, Archie Manning who also played quarterback in the NFL from 1971
through 1984 is quoted in the article as saying," The tango is hard but ol'
Peyt did it like he was going on a two-minute drive. He was into it. When he
finished high school, I put it on a highlight tape with all his football
exploits."

There is photo with the article of Peyton Manning and his partner dancing
the Tango in the eighth grade performance.
