Like in any other dance (among them Salsa and Milonga), when tempo
increases, the steps become smaller, quieter, more precise. One can dance
quiet salsa to very up-tempo music without breaking sweat. Not that those
dances are my favorites the real quality of the dance is in well placed
throbbing pause. Someone wrote that they teach to step on every beat in
milonga. I don t. It s more fun that way.
