Hi ya all.
I have been hanging out here in Bs As for a few months and went to
Gavito´s classes a bunch of times.
He asked in one class (I paraphrase), is tango a vehicle were the man is
in the driver´s seat (so to speak), or the woman?
Hmmm, equally for both, someone ventured.
Gavito: its the woman´s dance, I simply accompany her.
Well, when the woman (can´t bring myself to say ¨follower¨ ) executes
the gorgeous foot work that he teaches, and the man gives the woman time
and space to do so, I must agree with him.
Cheers,
Peter

So who's in charge? The driver of the car, or the chauffer?
Back in my younger days, I wanted to be strong and independent, so I always
drove if my date and I chose my car. I wasn't going to be one of those women
who would acquiesce when a guy says "I'll drive"!
Now that I am older and mellower, I love to let someone else do the driving. I
often get dropped off and picked up at the door (this is Minnesota!) and I can
read, sightsee, relax, etc. And it makes me feel kind of special!
