Hi does anyone on the List know of the current milongas in Mexico City?
What nights? Which are the best? etc...
It is so difficult to do a search online. The info is mostly outdated
anouncements.

Tuesday 7-9 lessons with Alberto Fonseca & Josefina, Bar Arrabalero

Thursday 8-9 Monna & Alfredo, Bar Arrabalero

Friday 7-9 Jorge Bartolucci y Sonia Aguilera Bar Arrabalero

Followed by milonga with live music until around 2 a.m.

Bar Arrabalero is in the restaurant El Asado Argentino, Dinamarca y Marsella
(Colonia Juarez,centro).

I know Monna Blanco & Alfredo, they are good teachers and dancers, and very
nice people. I have not met the other teachers. I don't know how much
English any of them speak since I only spoke Spanish with them. Once you get
there try contacting the teachers there. You might find more milongas or
dance opportunities than I have listed. Forever Tango is playing in Mexico
City now, so that would be a place to go and meet tangueros. I'm sure the
cast already knows all the local tango contacts. If you do talk to them,
give my warmest regards to Jorge Vernieri who is the pianist for Forever
Tango.

Good luck in Mexico, the tangueros and tangueras I've met were extremely
nice and friendly. Please give my warmest regards to Monna & Alfredo. I also
have a very good friend, Carla Del Rio who is a tango dancer. She is fluent
in English & Spanish and a wonderful person. If you find her in the classes
or milongas please tell her I gave you the tango information and give her
also my warmest regards.
