Monday was the big opening milonga, with demonstrations by the teachers.
Your reporter enjoyed the snappy milonga of Aurora and Jorge. But the
standouts were Eduardo and Gloria, fo me. They had so much speed at the end
of the song that you didn't notice the other couples dancing at the same
time. They were amazing.

But the best part of the festival is having Roberto Alvarez's Color Tango
play. Their sound in the hall was so fine (better than their CD's). They are
so clean and spirited. Dancing to them is truly a heavenly experience. They
play only Wednesday and for the show Saturday. (Festival continues until
July 13).

Gloria & Eduardo Arquimbau, Milena Plebs & Ezequiel Farfaro, Aurora Lúbiz &
Jorge Firpo, Mariana Flores and Eduardo Cappucci and Gerardo & Agata.
