Subject: PEDIDO DE TRADUCCION PARA UN TEMA TABU, ruego que alguien traduzca
Estimados miembros de la Lista *Tango Argentino*,
Existe de parte del publico extranjero (USA-Europa-
Asia, etc.) Absoluta buena fe en sus distintas maneras
de "creer en el Tango Argentino que reciben.-
A tal punto que la mayoria cree que los grandes shows
que los inspiran: Tango Argentino; For Ever Tango,
Tango Pasion y otros, fueron estrenados en la
Argentina y por lo tanto la representan.-
No fueron estrenados (premier) en la Argentina o lo
intentaron luego del exito mundial y fracasaron.-
He recibido de varios argentinos el pedido expreso de
no tocar este tema tabu, porque atentaria contra el
negocio,.- Como a mi no me interesa el
negocio...continuo:
Los extranjeros creen que lo que reciben de los
profesores viajeros mas o menos *artistas* es el
Tango Argentino o alguna forma de su evolucion que
tambien existe en Buenos Aires???.-
Invito a todos a Buenos Aires a verifcar 2 cosas: a)
El publico que baila Tango Argentino nada tiene que
ver con los shows,
y b) sus amados y creativos "Maestros y Show Dancers",
no frecuentan ni frecuentaron las pistas de baile o
MILONGAS, salvo aquellas actuales donde se junta
"mercado potencial extranjero"--- (tambien hay
honrosas excepciones,,,,muy pocas).-
Consecuencia de esto: con una actitud "naif" gran
parte del publico extranjero consume un Tango
Argentino que aqui no existe (pero gracias al cual el
recibimos muchos visitantes que nos ayudan con su
presencia).-
Se que este es un tema que no sera recibido con
placer, pero es bueno descubrirlo algun dia.-

Considered members of the * Argentine Tango * list,
There exists on the part of foreigners (USA-Europe-Asia, etc.) a blind faith in their way "to believe in the Tango Argentino they receive."
To the extent that the great majority believe that the great shows that inspire them: Tango Argentino; Forever Tango; Tango Pasion and others, were first released in Argentina and therefore they represent it.
They were not premiered in Argentina. When they tried it after their worldwide success, they failed.
I have received from several Argentineans the express request of not touching this tabu subject,
because it would be bad for business. - Since I'm not interested in the business, I continue...
Foreigners think that what they receive from the traveling professors/* artists * is the Argentine Tango or some form of its evolution that also exists in Buenos Aires???
I invite all to come to Buenos Aires to verify two things: a) the people who dance Argentine Tango have nothing to do with the shows, and b) your "beloved and creative Teachers and Show Dancers", do not frequent or have frequented the dance floors or MILONGAS, except the ones where the "foreign potential market" hang out - - - (although there are honorable exceptions... very few).
The consequence of this is that with an "naif" attitude, a great deal of foreigners consume an Argentine Tango that it does not exist here (but thanks to which we received many visitors who help us 'financially' with their presence).
I know this is a subject that will not be welcomed with pleasure, but it is good for you to discover it some day.
