 Subject: Ramiro Gigliotti

 Dear List,
One of the best parts of the tango scene in NYC is
that eventually everyone passes through here. We see
alot of famous people and teachers here, but last year
someone really special came for the first time: Ramiro
 Gigliotti.

His pedigree was so interesting-a conservatory trained
classical musician as well as a member of the Graciela
Gonzalez group- that my interest was instantly piqued.

I didnt know Ramiro, but I knew other dancers from
Graciela's group, (especially Luis Bruni and
Christina) all of whom are beautiful dancers. So I
decided to go check out his classes. Last year he was
teaching his musicality seminar. Ramiro is the first
teacher I have seen handle this topic in a satisfying
way. He really got the students to listen and discuss
the differences in the orchestras. By the end the
students were dancing differently to each orchestra!
 It was very exciting!

Besides his knowledge, he has a lovely personality
too. No arrogence or ugliness that we see so often in
 tango.
I got the feeling that he really loves what he does
and sharing it with the students. Dancing with him was
total bliss. His vibe is so pure, so good, that I cant
 wait to get more!

Ramiro will be back in NYC this weekend for 2 days of
workshops. I will be there for the whole thing. If you
can get here I recommend that you come too. If not, if
Ramiro comes to your town, Run don't walk to his
 class.

 Sincerely,
 sarah la Rocca
