Subject: recap: tango floors
Hi Margaret and all,
Can't wait to dance your new floor in Portland. A word of caution about "filler." Don't use regular floor filler for cracks between boards. It =
will dry solid and work out when floor gives as you dance. Use caulk, it remains pliable and it gives.
I made this mistake when restoring my pine floor. Some of the filler popped out with use. I patched around with tan painters caulk, and =
varnished again. The caulk is not popping out.
It's on my list before Meet in the Middle...to fill some more cracks that have worked out, this time with caulk.
A perfect dance floor is just one of the many details I'm working on for a perfect weekend for Meet in the Middle... please come and see... =
