I don't know if this message should go to the "A" or "L" list, but I'll
guess "L." If I'm wrong, I can expect a gancho from the moderators.

For those visiting New York, be aware that the New York Transit Authority
is making massive changes in subway service effective July 22. This
changes will last until 2004. Contact the organizers to see if subway
service to their milonga is affected.

Without going into great detail, a summary is that trains on Manhattan
Bridge will now travel up Broadway instead of 6th Avenue and will be
renamed, e.g. D becomes Q local. Details are on the Transit Authority's
web page www.mta.nyc.ny.us.

Trains used to be my first hobby. Then tango came along and gave trains a
gancho in the caboose.

Contact the organizers to see if subway service to their milonga is
affected.
