Dear Friends:
I was notified by an email sender that his computer had been quietly invaded by a virus called jdbgmgr.exe. It is not detected by Norton or McAfee antivirus systems and sits quietly for 14 days before damaging the system.
I checked my C drive and, sure enough, I found jdbgmgr.exe which displays a teddybear icon. You may already have this virus from others or, because you are in our address book, from us. Please take just two (2) minutes to check and cleanse your computer as follows:
1. Click on Start.
2. Click on Find or Search option.
3. Click on File or Folders option.
4. Type jdbgmgr.exe in the Named box.
5. Click on C drive (repeat this process on other drives and subfolders).
6. Click on Find Now - WARNING: DO NOT OPEN IT!
7. Click on Edit (on toolbar) and then Select All (to highlight the file without opening it).
8. Click on File (on toolbar) and then Delete (send it to the Recycle Bin).
9. You might then go the your Recycle Bin and delete it completely.
If you find the virus in your C or other drives, you MUST contact everyone in your address book!
Our apologies for this inconvenience but we subscribe to and maintain the latest versions of anti-virus software and yet it quietly invaded our C drive. Fortunately, it is also easily removed. Good luck!

This is an old hoax. Check your favorite sites, or google on "hoax virus".
The file is not used by many people and deleting it probably won't hurt
anything, but don't keep sending this message to people. The message is
the virus and your emailing it is how it propagated.
Note.. there are viruses and then there are quite a few hoaxes and hoax
viruses. The hoax viruses are not propagated by your computer's operating
system, they are propagated by your operating system i.e. your brain.
Whenever you get a virus alert *REMEMBER TO CHECK IT OUT* with McAfee, or
your favorite anti virus site before you automatically email it out to
everyone in your address book.
Do a quick google, read about the jdbgmgr.exe virus. Then don't delete
anything. Keep this email or write one of your own and every time you
receive an alert from someone send this information to them. Hopefully it
will act as an inoculation to prevent further spread of this.
peace,
Jonathan Thornton
