I agree with this point of Benjamin. There is one "gringo" that I think is a
good
example to follow: Robert Duvall.

He has made 29 trips to Buenos Aires, and he really knows where to dance.
You may find Mr Duvall at La Calesita, or Sin rumbo , traditional places for
tango social dancing in Buenos Aires. And he does not make a show off, in
fact he is just a milonguero more.

There was a report to Mr.Duvall, appeared at Clarin local newspaper some
time ago, when it was known that he is shooting a film in Buenos Aires
"Assasination
Tango" with Francis Ford Coppola as producer, Maria Nieves and the actual
wife
of Mr. Duvall, Luciana Pedraza ( she is argentinean, from the province of
Jujuy).
I would like to translate this part of the interview , is quite good:


" Clarin: ...today tango is being danced in USA...
Duvall: - Yes, now yes. But Sally Potter says something that is quite
true: "Tango is one of the dances more misunderstood , more misinterpreted
that exist at the world". It is true , it is danced without understanding
it. It is necessary to know Villa Urquiza , to know the Club Sin Rumbo , to
understand the beginning and the end of tango is to walk. In New York there
is a philipine that dances quite well, milonguero. But they are isolated
talents.

Clarin :- ¿And how do you consider yourself your talent as dancer ?
Duvall:- I am a bailarín de salón, milonguero.

Clarin:- ¿What are your models?
Duvall: - I took many lessons. But when people asked me, who was my teacher,
I answer " All the country".Because I learn looking to the argentines.

"This man enjoys tango by hart ", intervene María Nieves. " Outside ,
generally, it is danced quite acrobatic , when the only important thing is
to walk"." You have to dance with this", she says, pointing to her chest.
