Subject: where to dance well in Buenos Aires

I live only two blocks from a very popular Thursday night milonga. It was
one of my favorite places to dance two years ago. But last Thursday night
my partner and I spent an hour traveling by car to a new milonga in the
neighborhood of Nunez. All I can say is that it was worth the trip.

This milonga "La Portenita" is organized by a milonguero, Luis Trapasso, who
will give you a warm welcome with his partner Olga. It is held in the
elegant Salon Kass which has a mosaic floor. It has excellent lighting, air
conditioning, and great music for dancing by Carlitos. It was an enjoyable
evening where everyone danced comfortably. I'm sure there will be a larger
crowd during the summer months when milongas with air-conditioning are
 preferred.

Don't let the distance deter you from going. It's accessible by bus and the
D Line subway. The hours are from 9pm to 3am. The address is Crisologo
Larralde 2375 at the corner of Cabildo 3700.

The other milonga organized by two milongueros is Buenos Aires Tango
(Milonguero). Alito and Miguel Angel have decided to change the hours
beginning Wednesday, October 24 to 8pm-2am. This milonga has more
milongueros than any other in Buenos Aires. Last week there were ten
couples on the floor at 9pm of which seven were milongueros.
