Subject: Where to purchase tango music
Friends -
I've had several people ask where they can get tango music. I would like to
defer this question to Stephan Brown's website, which has a good overview
for where to order tango music from anywhere in the world. The exact link
to the "where to buy" is
https://www.tejastango.com/tango_music.html#purchasing
From the US perspective, between Mark Celaya's Classic Tango and his
distributors, and Zival's in Buenos Aires, I can get 95% of anything I want.
The links are on Steve's page above. Some albums I have to track down in
all kinds of odd places but I must admit that very few of these albums make
it to the DJ stand (if ever) - they stay at home where I enjoy them for
myself or on occasion at a practica. Zival's impressed me the other day
because I ordered some albums, which arrived here in Anchorage, Alaska less
than 48 hours after I made the order. They only ship via UPS Express for
international orders and I can say it's cost effective and very quick. I
have a distributor here in Anchorage where I can get albums in Classic
Tango's stock. Both outfits are very easy and enjoyable to work with.
Good luck!

Hi,
as far as I can tell, the best place to get music and information about
Tango is www.clubdetango.com.ar.
I prefer it better than other distributors 'cause the owner is a tango
collector and not only has the CD's, he has a very big archival on tango
related matters.
Though his site is not in English, it is worth the effort contacting him,
his name is Oscar Himschoot and he is an authorized source of "Tanguero
knowledge" (you can write an e-mail and he will answer you back).
He also publishes a tango magazine. It is different than other magazines
'cause it is about tango, not a list of milongas.
