Subject: Guess who is in Tokyo? : )

I have just done my private little research in the Tango-L archive on a name
that vaguely ran a bell. Four years ago a sixteen year old asked Tango-L:
"Can anybody tell me, please, what is gomina? I have been trying so hard to
find out.." Sergio kindly explained it to him.
I also discovered a firy attack on "the ranting and raving of Mr.... and
Mr..."
Well, yesterday I ran into Anton Gazenbeek in person. His hair all slicked
back with the gomina or whatever other kind of brillantine he must have at
last discovered in the meantime, and here as the partner of.... Alicia Monti
!
I saw Alicia sitting at a table at our milonga,and asked one of the hosts
whether it was really her. It was. I waited for them to do some kind of demo
or advertise their workshop or something, but instead they finally simply
got up and quietly joined the ronda of dancers. Some time later my partner
asked me:"Do you think, she might accept, if I asked her to dance with me?"
I encouraged him to try, and told him, it would give him a chance to tell
her that he has all of of her videos with Carlos Coppello. So, he walked
over, his heart beating wildly, and mine too, while I watched, as I have
known him since he was a complete beginner at tango. She did accept, and
danced a whole tanda with him.
Now we are both looking forward to take part in their class tomorrow.
