Heyo,

La Gaucha wants out. Leaving so soon, amor?
Your lingering perfume will break our hearts.
Before moving on, perhaps you should change to
the 'digest' mode in which you receive only
one e-mail per day. That day's messages are together
in one item, and they are sorted by subject. Thus,
it's easier to search for the occasional glimmering
gem amid the turbid prose. I did it after
returning from BA to find hundreds of messages but
only about a dozen that were interesting. I wouldn't
change back. Of course, I have no idea if the info
that follows is a duplication of something that already
went out today. If so, sorry.

Here's what to do:
Send only the command(s)in the message body to LISTSERV@MITVMA.MIT.EDU
[JC, "UNSUBSCRIBE" is NOT a recognized command.]

To change to digest mode the command is:
SET DIGESTS Tango-l (or Tango-a)

To unsubscribe the command is:
SIGNOFF Tango-l (or Tango-a)

For a list of user commands (including SIGNOFF) the command is:
HELP

For a reference list of listserv info the command is:
INFO Refcard

Un besito,

Frank - Mpls.

Minor point: the listserver does recognize the command "unsubscribe" - it
translates it to "signoff". And "unsubscribe" is easier to remember since
it
is symmetrical wtih "subscribe".
